FIRE!

ONE OF THE FEW FIRES IN UTAH THIS SUMMER
THAT WAS NOT CAUSED BY A HUMAN.
SPANISH FORK CANYON WAS CLOSED ONCE.
NOW IT'S HIT THE SOUTH END OF UTAH COUNTY.

THIS FIRE WAS CAUSED BY LIGHTNING.
IT HAS BEEN GOING FOR A WHILE.

THERE ARE 2 FIRES.
THE POLE CREEK FIRE HAS BURNT 54,000 ACRES.
THE BALD MOUNTAIN FIRE HAS BURNED 14,500 ACRES.
THEY ARE CLOSE TO COMBINING!

THIS IS THE #1 FIRE PRIORITY IN THE
US RIGHT NOW.
I HOPE UTAH GETS HELP FROM OTHERS.

THE MOUNTAINS SOUTH OF TIMP
LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE SNOW ON THEM!

HAYLEE

LOVE MY HAYLEE!
WHEN SHE WAS IN 5TH GRADE, I HAD 2 HAYLEE'S.
HAYLEE EVANS
HAYLEY BROWN

THEN, MY GREAT NIECE WAS BORN.
HALEY MITCHELL
ALL SPELLED DIFFERENTLY!

WHEN I GOT THIS ANNOUNCEMENT, I JUST LAUGHED.
IT WAS LIKE MY GREAT NIECE, BUT A DIFFERENT SPELLING
WITH HER NAME!

HAYLEE RETURNED THIS SUMMER FROM
SERVING AN LDS MISSION IN BOLIVIA.

HAYLEE'S MOM'S NAME IS BRITTANY.
BRITTANY WAS THE OLDEST OF THE FAMILY
THAT LIVED ACROSS THE STREET FROM
ALPINE ELEMENTARY . . . NEXT TO THE MAILBOX.

I DID NOT TEACH BRITTANY,
BUT TAUGHT HER BROTHER, TAYLOR.
TAYLOR HAD A TWIN SISTER, AND THEIR BIRTHDAY
WAS THE SAME DAY AS MINE!

BRITTANY IS THE SECOND FROM THE LEFT.

AT THE END OF THE RECEPTION,
THE ENTIRE WEDDING PARTY JUMPED INTO THE POOL!

I MET MITCH AT A JAZZ PLAYOFF GAME WITH HAYLEE.
HAYLEE & MITCH HAD A PICTURE TAKEN
IN FRONT OF THE "JAZZ NOTE."
IT APPEARED ON THIS INSTAGRAM PAGE.
YUP.  MY STUDENT!

TWEETIN' TRUMP

One of President Trump's biggest hobbies
is to be on Twitter.
Whoever taught him how to tweet, was nuts!
Except, when he tweets about me!!!

WHAT'S IN A NAME?

DOGSITTING

Katie & CJ
have a golden doodle dog
named Jax.

He loves to go everywhere
with them!

CJ has already left
for Indiana.

Katie, Jax, Laurel, Ashley,
and Ryker were at our condo.
They decided to go to McDonald's
and over to see Laurel's mom
at Stonehenge.
Katie asked if I would
"dogsit."

After Jax's mom (Katie),
grandma(Laurel), adopted mom (Ashley),
and little buddy (Ryker) left,
Jax notieced that Katie's car
was still there.

Here's Jax's response
the entire time they were gone:

DRIVING IN UTAH

CLAIRE

Another one of my all time favorites . . . Claire McKinlay!
She was the most adorable student!
Just teeny tiny in stature,
but big in heart!
Claire is very artistic.
Also, she can really sew, knit, crochet, etc.

She served an LDS mission.
As a 5th grader, she was
so smart,
so sweet,
so talented,
so artistic!

I was unable to go to her reception.
It was the first BYU Football home game.
Preston was looking forward to going.
But, I sent a present.

Claire's mom, Paula (aka Bookmobile woman)
made this dress, along with all of the flower girls!

GETTING DISNEYIZED

Bronson Gregory was one of my
fabulous students!
He was one of the most positive boys that
I ever taught!
Bronson recently returned from serving an LDS mission
in Bolivia.

He always loved Disney, and he and his
family went there several times a year.
On the family's recent trip, Bronson
applied to work at Disneyland!

"While studying, I got a text from Disney that read that I’ve been accepted
to work at Disneyland!! My role is custodial
so I’ll be walking the park, I’ll get my ears in January!!!"

It doesn't matter to Bronson that he'll be doing
custodial work.  He's all up for it!
And, he'll be great at it, too!

90

September 8, 1928
The day my dad was born.

June 14, 2003
The day my dad passed away.
Age 74.

September 8, 2018
Today, my dad would have been 90 years old.
He was 30 years old when I was born.
That means next month, I will be
30 years less than 90!
