In 1930, the planet Pluto was discovered.

When I was growing up, there were 9 planets in our solar system.

Mercury

Venus

Earth

Mars

Jupiter

Saturn 

Uranus

Neptune

Pluto

Recently, Pluto was declassified, or demoted, as a planet.

Mainly because there were asteroids bigger than Pluto.
