JAZZ ARTIST

When you think of a Jazz artist, you automatically think of
a musician that plays Jazz music.
Nope.
Not it this case.

We have a Jazz member who is an artist!
Jeremy Evans!
He has won the slam dunk, and been a runner up.
Here was his art work on display at a game.

 Salt Lake Temple

 Jeremy himself!

Not sure which temple the bottom one is...if it's Timpanogos or Bountiful,
a little narrow.  Maybe Oquirrh Mountain?

Nice job, Jeremy!
When your playing days are over, you can teach art
and coach basketball!

WE LOVE ART!

We have the opportunity to spend one hour every Friday in art!
Our teacher is Mrs. Baer.

This is a sign that we made with
EVERY
child in the school!

It says RESPECT.
Every child drew in a square what they thought respect means.

OUR AFRICAN MASKS FOR ART NIGHT

Mr. Francis, our art teacher, helped us make African masks for our Art Night.  First, we cut a milk jug in half, then taped it all over with itty, bitty pieces of masking tape.  Then we painted, and decorated.

Our masks hung with the other 5th graders.

The 5th and 6th grades sang the song that was written for the World Cup Soccer.

Kwasi, a 6th grader from Africa (left), and Kofi played the drums.

The gym looked fantastic for our Art Night!  The 6th grade had made African animal pictures that hung from the ceiling.

Each class made a flag for the event.

Lots of people attended our program!  Thanks to all who helped!
