LION OR LAMB?
December came in like a lamb.
January came in like a lamb.
February came in like a lamb.
March...not so much.
Looking out front door of condo
Deck
First snow since December 29, 2014.
(I have rarely worn my coat this winter...just a jacket.)
69 degrees in January.
29 degrees in March.
We need moisture!!!

let it snow! Let It Snow!! LET IT SNOW!!!
OH, THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL . . .
AND SINCE WE'VE NO PLACE TO GO . . .
LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW!
Can you believe this snow???
This is the most snow that
Miss Mitchell
has seen in 33 years at
Alpine Elementary!
These pictures were taken on the
patio by our room...
before the kids could dive in to it!

SIX MONTHS LATER . . .
This picture was taken 6 months ago . . .
October 26
My birthday!
There has NEVER been snow on my birthday!
It's usually a nice, warm, sunshiny day.
High 50s-Low 60s.
Six months later . . .
. . . This is my "half birthday"
April 26
There is NEVER snow on April 26!
It's usually a nice, warm, sunshiny day.
Mid 60s-Low 70s.
NOT high 30s-Low 40s!
(There is STILL 690 inches at the Snowbird Ski Resort!)
. . . and this is April 30!
The tree behind my condo with blossoms and snow.
Poor blossoms
We have spent A LOT of recesses inside this spring!
This has only happened ONE other time in the 31 years Miss Mitchell
has been teaching . . .1983!
Because of the spring snow, sleet, hail, rain, thunder, lightning,
and temperatures in the 40s and 50s . . .
. . . no snow could MELT!
The week after school was out for the summer, the temperatures went from
the 50s to the 90s!
We then had this to deal with . . .
Many roads looked like this!
There was nowhere for the rising waters to go in the Salt Lake Canyons!
They directed the water down the streets of Salt Lake to State Street!
There was even a bridge built over the street for people to cross!
It was aMaZiNg to see!
(Hope it just gradually warms up between now and June!)
