BACK IN THE POM POM PILLOW BUSINESS

WHY, YES!
THIS IS A PORTRAIT DRAWN BY A STUDENT OF ME.
IT'S VERY ACCURATE!
I TRULY AM THE . . .
POM POM PILLOW QUEEN!

One of the few crafty things I did with my

school kids, that I thought I was good at, was

making pom pom pillows.

My teammate, Calvan, taught me how to

make them my second year of teaching.

I didn't do it my first year, or the year I 

wasn't there because of foot surgery.

The directions are not written down.

Everything is in my head.

My students were always proud of these!

I brought home 4 pillow frames when I retired.

I threw the rest away.

Bishop Bagley made 35 for me, that I paid for.

Jon took those 4 home, and made me 4 new ones,

without the rusty nails.

I taught Ashley's 4 kids how to make them.

Ages 13, 10 1/2, 8, and 3 1/2.

Even Ryker, the 3 year old, could do a lot!

When we went shopping for the supplies, I was

surprised how much had changed in 5 1/2 years!

The material was fabulous!  

"Frozen", "chevrons", even glitter material!!!

than needed, in case they made a mistake.)

Depending how you start the pillows, gives

you your top color.

Jaycie's mom went to 2 days of Young Women Camp.
When Jaycie came home a few days later,
her mom had redone her room!
One of the walls is painted mint.
Sooooo cute!

I am pretty proud that after 5 1/2 years since
the last pillows, I still remember how to do it!!!
Especially, since nothing is written down . . . it's all in my head!

Maybe the next kids to make them, I'll video, explain it,
and put it on You-Tube,
Unless any of my 1,000 students that made them
can figure it out.  That way, I don't have to take it to my grave!

MUSEUM OF ANCIENT LIFE

Thanks to Jaycie, we were able to go to the

Museum of Ancient Life at

Thanksgiving Point.

Jaycie had to visit a museum for her

Utah History class.

This museum was one on her list, and

because of my "Aunt Ann Pass,"

we were all able to get in for free!

We went on an "early out day," 

Monday, April 30.

We all got the memo to wear blue!

In the lobby.

The first room was a "toy room."

None of the kids knew what a Jack-In-the-Box wax!
You could look through and see how the spring mad
"Jack" pop up out of the box!

This was a great place to play!  There were plastic
dinosaurs, sand, and water.
That's all you needed.
Preston, Addie, and Ryker loved playing in it!!!
