On June 21, a shooting occurred in a South Carolina church for blacks.
Nine people were killed. The shooter was white, and in one photo,
he was holding the Confederate flag.
The Confederate flag was the flag used during the Civil War
for the Confederate States of America.
Although the War has been over since 1865, many southern
states still fly the flag, have it on license plates, etc.
The Confederate flag was even the flag at Dixie College forever!!!
The college was named Dixie because the climate was similar
to the "other Dixie." They even grow cotton!
The flag was changed at Dixie a few years ago.
Also, the nickname, Rebels (nickname of Confederate soldier),
was changed to Red Storm (with a Red Bull mascot, like Chicago Bulls),
whatever that is.
As a result of the killer's photo, everyone ranted
that the Confederate flag should be gone . . . EVERYWHERE.
Didn't care about freedom of speech, history, or heritage . . . just get rid of it!!!
June 26, 2015, is a day that will live in infamy!!!
The Supreme Court voted 5-4 that "Same Sex" marriage is now legal.
WHAT???
I thought the purpose of the Legislative Branch was to
MAKE THE LAWS
and the Supreme Court was to
MAKE SURE THE LAWS ARE CONSTITUTIONAL.
BOY, DID SOCIAL MEDIA BLOW UP!!!
