EVICTION NOTICE

SURPRISE!!!
My oldest niece, Camille, is in her
2nd trimester!
No one knew . . . except her husband and parents.
(Mark is the Chief of Staff for the Utah Senate.
He has been the Chief of Staff for the
Lieutenant Governor, and in charge of elections)

Camille will be 37 1/2 years old when the baby arrives.
When he is born, her oldest, Shayla (Shay),
will be 13 a couple of weeks later.
McKenzie (Kenzie) will be 3 1/2.

Camille & Mark told their families with an
"eviction notice"
for Kenzie to be out of the crib
by September 9, 2019!

The first of my great nieces and nephews
 was born in 2000!

So our family will look like this when
the baby is born:
Courtney . . . 19 (a couple of weeks after birth)
Cole . . . 15
Jaycie . . . 14
Camry . . . 13 1/2
Shayla . . . 13 (a couple of weeks after birth, same
day as Courtney's birthday)
Preston . . . 11 1/2
Haley . . . 11 1/2
Carter . . . 9 1/2
Addison . . . 9
Lily . . . 8
Oakley . . . 8
Allyson . . . 5 1/2
Brooklyn . . . 5 1/2
Ryker . . . 4 1/2
McKenzie . . . 3 1/2
Jacob . . . 3
Kaizen . . . 4 1/2 months (due April 20)
Baby Boy . . . (due September 9)

So, my nieces and nephews were
born is this order:
boy, girl, girl, boy, girl, girl

Their children in the following order
(and their ages when he's born):
Chris (39):  girl, girl, boy
Camille (37 1/2): girl, girl, boy
Ashley (36):  girl, boy, girl, boy
McKay (33 1/2):  boy, girl, girl
Heidi (31 1/2):  girl, girl, girl, boy
Katie(28 1/2):  boy

Camille surprised us all!
I think maybe Heidi & Katie will
each have one more.
Who knows???

Kenzie wants to name her little
brother, Ryker, after her cousin!

This is the first time that 2 sisters have
been pregnant at the same time!
Ashley and Kim were pregnant together with
Jaycie and Camry.
Ashley and Lori were pregnant together with
Preston and Haley.
Ashley and Kim were pregnant together with
Carter and Addie.
Heidi and Lori were pregnant together with
Oakley and Lily.

And now, Camille and Katie
(oldest and youngest sisters),
are pregnant together with
Baby boy Thomas and Kaizen.
(Except, we won't have a picture of them
together.  Camille was pregnant at
Katie's shower, but not confirmed.)

The count:
11 girls & 7 boys
18 total

And, here's the picture when I became
the famous Aunt Ann:

This was May 25, 1980.
Chris was 1 day old!
Who knew that with only 1 sibling, I would
have 6 nieces & nephews with their 6 spouses,
11 great nieces & 7 great nephews!!!
Good job, Reid!!!

CELEBRATING ME, LORI, HEIDI, ALLY, BROOKY, AND MARK

We have been having a hard time
getting together to celebrate Lori, Heidi, and my birthdays.
There were 2 couples who had gone on trips,
other parties, Deer Hunt, and mom's surgery.

Great partnership!

This is the 3rd year that I have had a
"Birthday Wish List."
This year, there was:
Leaves picked up in the hedges, ivy cut back, new toilet handle,
fireplace gas turned on, light bulbs changed, patio cushions
put away.
I also ask for an updated photo of each kid for my wall.
(Didn't get Camille's kids yet)
There's room for 2 on the right, 3 on left, and
6 on the bottom. (I'm sure that won't happen)

MARK'S NEW JOB

Mark Thomas
Utah Senate President Wayne Niederhauser has appointed Mark Thomas to serve as Utah Senate chief of staff.
As chief of staff, Thomas will oversee Senate operations and staff management, and will serve as the Senate’s primary spokesperson. Thomas will advise the Senate President and membership on issues related to policy, communications and constituent relations.
“I am confident that Mark Thomas will be an exceptional addition to the Utah Senate team. His demonstrated ability to understand complex policy issues and his track record of finding common-sense solutions makes him a uniquely suited individual to take over this critical role. My Senate colleagues and I are anxious to have him aboard,” said President Niederhauser.
“I greatly appreciate having the opportunity to represent the Senate Minority Caucus on the committee to select the new Senate Chief of Staff,” said Senate Minority Leader Gene Davis. “After interviewing many excellent candidates, I am confident that Mark will do an outstanding job for the Utah Senate and the people of this state. Our caucus is united in our support for Mark’s appointment and look forward to his leadership in guiding continued collaboration across the aisle.”
“I’m excited to accept this position and to become part of a superior Senate team. I look forward to working with President Niederhauser and the membership of the Senate in my new capacity,” said Thomas. “It is an honor to begin this new adventure with the Senate as its members continue to act as a thoughtful, deliberate voice of the people of Utah.”
Thomas currently serves as the chief deputy and director of elections for Lt. Gov. Spencer J. Cox. Prior to this position,Thomas served as office administrator to then Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert. He was appointed director of elections in 2009 by former Lt. Gov. Greg Bell, and has since focused on modernizing Utah’s elections and campaign finance, developing online voter and absentee registration, and updating antiquated election laws. Thomas was the recipient of the 2012 Governor's Award for Excellence for Innovation and Efficiency, the 2013 Making Democracy Work Award and the 2014 G. Homer Durham Distinguished Service Award. He is a graduate of the University of Utah.
Thomas will transition to this new position in mid-November.
