A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTY

Lone Peak High School.
The high school that my students go to.
The high school that has won more state championships
in 20 years than anyone else!
(Several each year...golf, tennis, band, soccer, football,
swimming, basketball, etc)

On October 25, I was at Cierra's getting my hair cut.
The salon is on Main Street.
When I walked out, several police cars were racing down
Main Street from west to east, with sirens blaring.
Someone said it was cuz AF girls won state in soccer.
I knew that police wouldn't go that fast for a high school celebration.

Well, Lone Peak was on lockdown.
Yes, that kind of LOCKDOWN!!!
It was reported that a student had a gun.
Students had to stay in their classrooms for a long time.
Then, they all had to patted down, and sent to the gym.

They were given the all clear.  Buses transported the
students to the temple to be picked up by parents.
School let out at the regular time . . .  2:15.
The first round of the state championship in football
was played, and they won.

So . . . what happened???
The report came in that a student had a gun at the high school
in Highland, which is Lone Peak.
It was really Highland High School . . . in Salt Lake City!!!
(And their situation was cleared up)

MAJOR OOPS!
