GIRLS NIGHT OUT

Nancy and I have had a long standing tradition of a

"Girls Night Out" every spring for her birthday.

We go to a Jazz game.

I love spring and fall pretty much equally.

But, I picked spring as my #1 favorite season because

it comes after cold, blah, dreary winter!!!
My favorite part of spring are the blossoms!!!
Probably because I lived most of my life next to 
an apple orchard.

Halftime entertainment was this guy that stacked chairs,

and then stood on them and also did handstands!!!

I have seen the most unique halftimes over the years.

These different acts travel all over the NBA.

If you have a unique act, you're in!!!

Jazz lost by 2 points to the Spurs.

SHE HAD MY "NOVEMBER" INDIAN CORN, A DOLL,

AND A SACAGAWEA COIN.

I ALSO TOOK A $50 FOUNDATION DONATION TO

JAYCIE, CAMRY, AND PRESTON'S TEACHERS.

I DONATED IN DECEMBER TO ADDIE AND CARTER'S TEACHERS.

APRIL FOOL'S DAY . . . 2016

10 MONTHS LATER

Matt & Brooke were married the end of May.

They chose the Golden State Warriors game, March 30,

10 months after their wedding as their wedding game.

The Warriors are the reigning NBA champs!

The Jazz nearly pulled it off, and lost in overtime!

UTAH JAZZ MADE THE BEST KOBE BRYANT FAREWELL VIDEO YET

KOBE CAME OUT OF A HIGH SCHOOL IN PENNSYLVANIA

TO PLAY IN THE NBA 20 YEARS AGO.

CHRIS AND I WENT TO THE FIRST LAKERS GAME

THAT KOBE PLAYED IN . . . AND DECIDED

TO SEE HIM FOR THE LAST TIME.

I USED TO LIKE THE LAKERS.

MAGIC, KAREEM, WORTHY, ETC.

SHOWTIME.

KOBE, MR. ARROGANT.

ESPECIALLY WHEN HE WAS ON TRIAL FOR RAPING

A NURSE WHEN HE WAS IN REHAB IN COLORADO FOR HIS KNEE.

HE SAID, SHE SAID.

KOBE GOT OFF.  LOST HIS MANY ENDORSEMENTS.

WHEN SHAQUILLE ONEIL WAS ON HIS TEAM, AND WON

CHAMPIONSHIPS, KOBE SAID,

"IT'S ME OR HIM."

LAKERES KEPT KOBE.

THE LAKERS FANS ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST

IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE!  

ENTITLED.

THEY DON'T COME FROM LA TO SUPPORT,

THEY'RE LOCAL, AND WEAR LAKERS GEAR.

AND THEN 2 DAYS LATER, THEY CHANGE TO WARRIOR GEAR!

THE JAZZ ALSO HONORED ANDREI KIRILINKO.

HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE JAZZ FOR 10 YEARS.

This was Kobe's worst game ever as a pro!

He only scored 5 points!

The Lakers are just awful!!!  They've only won 15 games this year!

They can't get decent players, because Kobe's contract

this year is worth 25 million dollars!!!

Also, worst Lakers lost EVER!!!

Jazz won by 48 points...and once, they were ahead by 53!!!

 Loved the blossoms in the dark!

In January, Kobe Bryant was whimsically talking to his former teammate Rick Fox about his upcoming retirement and lamented the fact that he has never gone skiing before. Perhaps hearing about the absence of skiing in Bryant's life, the Utah Jazz presented the Los Angeles Lakers star with a number of ski-themed retirement gifts on Monday.

Before Bryant played his final game in Utah (one of the final nine games of his career), the Jazz gave him a season pass to Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort and a pair of skis and custom fitting from Salomon. They also gave Bryant several more outdoorsy themed gifts:

A decade pass to all National Parks in the United States

A VIP experience for Kobe's family at 
the park of their choice

A framed picture of Arches National Park

An annual pass to the Utah State Parks

A season pass to Snowbird Ski and
Summer Resort

A pair of skis and custom fitting

While other teams may have given Bryant some unique gifts, the Jazz clearly went outside the box and gifted the Lakers star an experience that he'll probably remember for the rest of his life. These are actual gifts Bryant may use, instead of the pieces of memorabilia other teams gave him which may just end up somewhere in his house. And now, thanks to the Jazz, Bryant can go skiing, something he has been looking forward to doing once he retires.

EASTER . . . 2016

Easter in 2016

was on March 27!!!

Too early!

Bleh.

Easter is always the first Sunday,

after the first Monday,

after the first full moon of Lent.

It's usually in April.

We celebrated at McKay and Lori's new house.

They rented in Genola for 2 1/2 years.

They've bought a house, and remodeled it.

Lots and lots of property.

I checked mom out of her rehab center.

Our entire family was there, except Katie in LA.

Plus, Jon's sister and three children from Colorado

were also there.

My 15 great nieces and nephews

Age 15 1/2 - 2 months.

#16 is coming first week of April!
