For 69 and 70 days, the world waited and held it's breath as 33 miners from Chile were trapped underground. This is the longest that anyone has been trapped underground . . . and survived!
With the help of technology from the United States, the first miner is brought up.
Miners were brought up an average of one every 50-60 minutes in a tube.
All were jubilant as they reached the surface above ground!
The rescued 33 miners at the hospital, pose for a photo with the President of Chile.
