CEDAR CITY, Utah - Nov. 4 - Southern Utah's Caitlin Jensen has been named to the ESPN Academic All-District VIII Second Team for volleyball as voted upon by collegiate sports information directors. The Alpine, Utah native has maintained a perfect 4.0 cumulative G.P.A. while pursuing a degree in biology/zoology.
Jensen moved into the starting libero spot for Southern Utah this season and has thrived, setting seven school records and leading the team in digs (386) and digs per ser (4.11). She is also among the leaders in the Summit League, averaging 4.24 digs per set during conference matches.
The ESPN Academic All-District teams are nominated by and voted upon by collegiate sports information directors with District VIII made up of schools in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii, Utah, Nevada, Arizona and the provinces of British Columbia and Yukon in Canada.
