50 YEARS LATER

50 years

The "Sound of Music" was released 50 years ago in 1965.

I remember seeing it that year in the "Coral Theater" in American Fork.

Julie Andrews was the star.

The year before, she was Mary Poppins.

How could she ever top that performance???

She did!!!

On Tuesday, September 29, I went to 

American Fork High School 

to watch Whitley Bezzant play volleyball.

(I missed McKell's games cuz I was Visiting Teaching.)

Whitley is Renae's great niece.

Her grandpa, Jay, was my high school biology teacher.

It was American Fork vs Lone Peak.

Lone Peak broke off from AF in 1997.

It's the high school my students go to.

I loved being in AF's new gym.

GORGEOUS!!!

Lone Peak won (like they usually do with all sports),

but I always cheer for

"Dear Ol' AF High!"

SUPER BLOOD MOON

It’s a combination of curiosities that hasn’t happened since 1982, and won’t happen again until 2033. A so-called "supermoon," which occurs when the moon is closest to earth in its orbit, coincided with a lunar eclipse, leaving the moon in Earth’s shadow. Individually, the two phenomena are not uncommon, but they do not align often.  This amazing phenomenon occurred on Sunday, September 27.
