GOOOOOOOAL

On May 29, I went to Ally & Brooky's last soccer game!
Four year olds playing soccer . . . soooo much fun!!!
Ally is wearing the pink shorts, Brooky the black.

Ally's shoe kept coming off.

Brooky

For Ally, this would be called traveling in basketball!

And then, Ally & Brooky decided it would be ideal
to play soccer holding hands!

DEERFIELD DANCE

On May 29, Oakley had her Dance Festival.
Her 1st grade did
"Boot Scootin' Boogie."
She is the tall one on the back row.

Just like Alpine Elementary, Deerfield has an eagle as their mascot!

JOHN PHILIP SOUSA

John Philip Sousa is also known
as the "March King."
He wrote all of the famous marches,
such as "Washington Post" and
"Stars and Stripes Forever."

And, it's no surprise that
the 2018 winner of this award
was Jacob Neves.
A favorite former student.

MEMORIAL DAY

Typical Memorial Day.
Nephi on Saturday.
Flowers to cemetery, with Cole's help for:
Grandma & Grandpa
Jean
Pat's first husband
Uncle George & Aunt Beth
Great Grandpa

Nephi Park with mom's cousins, Carolee
and Richard Bell and families.

The only holiday thing I did on
the actual Memorial Day, was watch the
concert from Washington D.C.

Tuesday, I took flowers to dad's
grave in Lehi.  I go this day to make
sure there are flowers.  There never are any.
I usually take for dad, Grandma, Grandpa,
and dad's brother, Wyatt (lived a few days.)
My foot was really hurting and I could barely walk.
I knew I couldn't make the 4 trips to the graves.
(all grass)
I only grabbed one pot of red, white, and blue flowers
for dad's. At the cemetery, my other hand held my cane,
which was all I could do.
Hope the others understand.
I'll have to take a kid or two from now on.

THIS SUMS IT UP

TWINS + TWINS

Scott Stevens is one of my
all time favorite students!
(But, aren't they all???)
Scott was in my 5th class,
1984-1985.
His mom, Loretta, taught with me.
Scott won the School Spelling Bee
in my class!
I would say he is in the
Top #5 of students I have taught!
He is an ophthalmologist.

Scott and his have have a set
of boy-girl twins.
Five years later, they had
another set of
boy-girl twins!

2017-2018 AWARDS

PARACHUTE

This made me laugh and laugh!
I played with this in elementary school!
And, of course, I used it every year
in teaching!
