MANNERS

On November 20, we had a mini unit on "Manners." We had to wear nice clothes for the day. We learned several tasks, and then had to pass them off with our partner. We had to pull out chairs, help with coats, open doors, and make introductions. We also ate Thanksgiving lunch in the classroom, and practiced eating with good manners. After lunch, we had a choice to go out to recess, or participate in one more activity. Those who chose the activity, were rewarded with a game called, "Please Pass the Candy."

What a fun day. It's so nice to know that someone besides mom is stressing manners - maybe they'll understand that it's important if it's coming from more than one source.

I love this idea. Did you do this last year as well? I don't know if I remember. I love the cornicopia on the wall. The kids did a great job making stuff to put in it. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving. You deserve a nice break.

we are 5th graders in chatom alabama. We are at Project Bulldog,an after school program. We are also studying manners. We think it is awesome that you all
had a program on manners. We are going to have something similar
to the study you completed. From the 5th gr. at Chatom Middle
School.
