CLEAR CREEK 2009

CLEAR CREEK
Clear Creek is a camp owned by the Alpine School District between Scofield Reservoir, and the towns of Scofield and Clear Creek. It is about 100 minutes from Alpine. In 1900, a huge mine explosion happened near Scofield. Today, there is a huge boy scout camp near the reservoir. We spent September 14 & 15 down there! Thanks to our chaperones: Tonya Ahlstrom, Emily Gibb, and Joseph Moffat. An extra special thanks to Mr. Stephenson, who is always willing to come, and to Mrs. Hoover, who does the shopping for us!

Don't you just love clear creek! I usually hear about it from the girls at the gym, but I haven't heard anything this year so it is good to get an update that it is still happening.

when I went to Clear Creek way back when, we went for a week the summer in between 5th and 6th grade, and my favorite activity wasn't listed in your poll. They probably don't do it anymore, but we caught little praire dogs in coffee/tang cans with a little peanut butter as bate. Now that's a good time! What could be better than luring little animals into a trap? What fun memories! Thanks for sharing your pics, and I too am glad the Clear Creek is still a tradition!

Looks like a lot of fun was had by all. A great place to go! I love those hats. Do you have the pattern? I would love to hear all about the fun games you do there. I have been away from teaching way too long. I miss many things about teaching, especially the kids and the friendships. I need to know about these fun ideas to do with my grandkids. Thanks for posting on your blog. I love it!
