A HEARTBREAKER, AND A TOTAL LETDOWN

BYU FOOTBALL PLAYED IN THE
INAUGURAL "MIAMI BEACH BOWL"
AGAINST THE MEMPHIS TIGERS
ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 22.

IT WAS A FABULOUS GAME!
BYU LOST IN DOUBLE OVERTIME.

AND THEN, ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE!
(FROM MY OBSERVATION, MEMPHIS STARTED IT.
BYU #12 DELIBERATELY HIT A PLAYER...WHILE HIS
FACE WAS COVERED IN BLOOD.  WHO KNOWS WHAT
THE RESULTS AND CONSEQUENCES WILL BE!)

I GUESS I'LL WAIT FOR THE STORY FROM
MY NEIGHBOR, BECCA (SON RYKER PLAYS)
AND CATHY (GRANDSON SAE PLAYS).

Tensions ran high after BYU's loss to Memphis in the Miami Beach Bowl as players from both teams broke out in a brawl after the game.
The Cougars fell 55-48 in double overtime to the Tigers after BYU quarterback Christian Stewart threw an interception to end the game.
The brawl included several members from both teams, and there is no word yet as to what punishments, if any, will be handed out.
Reaction to the brawl on social media ranged from support for the BYU players involved to disappointment and anger at the BYU players for engaging in the fight.
Sports radio personality Kyle Gunther (@GuntherKFAN) tweeted "Absolutely necessary that BYU fight back there. Obviously an ugly scene but I support 100% BYU defending their guys from attacks."
Others tweeted saying that the actions after the game did not represent the school or the state. Twitter user @DanielCoruse tweeted "I love BYU. They have an amazing coach in @BroncoBYU but what Nacua did after the game disrespects everything @BYUCougars stands for."
