IT WAS 20 YEARS AGO TODAY


WOW!

It's hard to believe it's 2020!!!

It seemed like yesterday that we
were worried about Y2K!
The year 2000.
That time when we wondered if
the world would end.
Computers read the year as
the last two digits . . . such as 94.
They were afraid that when
the computers turned to 00, they
might think it was 1900...and we
would be screwed!





2000-2020
I was in my 40's, 50's and 60's.

My dad passed away.
My grandma passed away.
Calvan, Paul, and Jane, (favorite teacher friends)
passsed away.

Five of my six my nieces and nephews married.
(Chris & Kim were married in 1999)
Eighteen great nieces and nephews were born.

Chris works for family business and trains horses.
Kim is a "Stay at Home Mom."
Courtney, 19 . . .Graduated from Westlake.
Freshman at SUU.
Camry, 14 . . . 8th grade, Lake Mountain Middle.
Carter, 10 . . . 4th grade, Sage Hills Elementary.

Camille is a "Stay at Home Mom."
Mark works for the state administration:
Chief of Staff for Lieutenant Governor.
Head of Utah Elections.
Chief of Staff for Utah Senate.
Also interned in DC for Senator Hatch.
Bachelor's Degree from U of U.
Shayla, 13 . . . 7th Grade, Clayton Middle.
McKenzie, 4.
Jase, 4 months.

Ashley is a "Stay at Home Mom."
Associate's Degree from Dixie State.
Jon is in management for
"Savage Brothers Trucking."
Bachelor's Degree from UVU.
Jaycie, 14 1/2 . . . 9th Grade, Lake Mountain Middle.
Preston, 12 . . . 6th Grade, Sage Hills Elementary.
Addison, 9 1/2 . . . 4th Grade, Sage Hills Elementary.
Ryker, 5 . . . Preschool, Saratoga Shores Elementary.

McKay works for family business
and "Bateman's".
Lori is a "Stay at Home Mom"
and started her own cake business.
Cole, 15 1/2 . . . Sophomore, Payson High.
Haley, 12 . . . 6th Grade, Goshen Elementary.
Lily, 8 1/2 . . . 3rd Grade, Goshen Elementary.

Heidi is a Home Health Care and 
Hospice Nurse.
Bachelor's Degree from Dixie State.
Mike owns his own consulting business.
Bachelor's Degree from U of U.
Oakley, 8 1/2 . . . 3rd Grade, Deerfield Elementary.
Allyson, 6 . . . Kindergarten, Deerfield Elementary.
Brooklyn, 6 . . . Kindergarten, Deerfield Elementary.
Jacob, 3 1/2. 

Katie is a Nurse, and has worked
at hospitals in LA, Orlando, and Provo.
Bachelor's Degree from Weber State.
CJ was drafted in the 1st round of
the NBA.  He has played for the
LA Clippers, Orlando Magic, 
and Indiana Pacers.  He has also
played for several "G League" teams.
Bachelor's Degree from Washington.
Kaizen, 9 months.

I served my Church.
Ordinance Worker at Mt. Timpanogos Temple.
Primary Secretary.
Primary Pianist.
Relief Society Pianist.
Relief Society Education.
Stake Relief Society Secretary.
2 years without a calling
(first time since mid-1970's).

I travelled.
Revolutionary War Workshops:
Northern, Middle, Southern.
Civil War East.
Presidential Home Tours of Virginia.
Western Caribbean Cruise.
Alaska Cruise.
New York City.
New Orleans.
Anchorage.
Minneapolis.
Rose Parade Trip with AFHS Band, including
Disneyland.
St. George.
Las Vegas.
I'll never travel like I did these
last 20 years . . . feet!


I was the president in Utah of
our teacher sorority, Alpha Delta Kappa.

We sold our property and home
that had been there forever.
I moved to a brand new condo that
my mom and I designed.

I became a member of the board
of the Utah Chapter of




Years # 7-27 of season BYU football tickets.
Attended "Sweet 16" and "Elite 8".
Mini Jazz ticket packages (since 1979).
Season Jazz tickets for 14 years.

I taught years #20 - #33.
Great time, except my last 4 years.
I retired . . . #33 years!
I became a "Stay at Home Aunt."

All kinds of foot problems, including
a BYU Football injury that I'm still
recovering from.
I cancelled my Hawaii trip this summer
because of the feet.
Major car accident.
Three surgeries for mom.
Many doctor appointments.

What I'm looking forward to
the most this year:
Social Security!
Getting in on it before it all runs out!
(Quite the laugh when this is your excitement!)
