1. The first step is to wrap your yarn on the frame. Depending on how you want the pillow top (dark, light, or mixed) depends on your pattern wrap.
Ben starts the wrapping process.

2. After wrapping, you have to tie each square at the corners (81 ties!).
Tyler and Ryan W. tie their pillows.

3. Next, you cut the pillow---all but the bottom 3 pieces of yarn.
Emily show some of their cutting.
4. After the pillow tops are off, it's time to finish the pillow. We have mothers come in with portable machines to help. After we measure and cut the material, it is sewn up on a machine. Then the student cuts a triangle on the corners to make them "pointy." Then they clip around the edge to help it lay straight.

5. Students then turn the material inside out, and begin to stuff.

6. Then the tops are tacked on.

7. The finished product! Can you believe we did this?!
Hunter and two other students had University of Utah pillows! (Kaden had a BYU pillow, and Emily, a Jazz pillow!)

How fun! I bet they'll always remember you when they snuggle their adorable pillow! What a fun project!
