HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN!

There are two weeks left before Halloween! This is a HUGE day for the kids! First, all 5th graders will come to school dressed in their U.S. History Wax Museum costume. The Wax Museum will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Students will then give an oral presentation to the class about their person. If they haven't previously turned in their written report, they will also turn that in. Our Halloween party will be from 2:20 - 3:20 p.m. Our FABULOUS room mothers will contact parents for party assignments. If a student wants to wear their Halloween costume, they can change into it at the 2:00 recess. Because this is an "end of month activity", students will still need to meet the requirements. So far, 6 students have qualified. Most just need a couple of SRAs, and 1 or 2 book reports. Because the party is on a Friday, students must also be completed with their "BACK WORK" from the week of October 19-23.
We will also have a "Pumpkin Decorating Contest". This is OPTIONAL! Students who would like to participate, will bring a decorated character pumpkin to school that morning. It CANNOT be carved! Each student who participates will receive a "little something" for their efforts.
After the party, the kids go home and get ready for the REAL Halloween day on Saturday!
