CJ played basketball at the
University of Washington
CJ redshirted his first year. After 4 years of school, and 3 years
of basketball...CJ graduated and received his Bachelor's degree.
He was still eligible to play for one more year.
He had to take classes in order to play.
While at Washington, I was able to see CJ play twice against Utah,
and once against BYU at the NIT Tournament.
It has always been CJ's dream to play in the NBA!!!
Was there a premonition of what was to come?
Visiting the Staples Center in the spring.
The arena was set for a Clippers game.
CJ was 1 of 60 players invited to the NBA
Chicago Combine!
At the Combine, coaches and personnel from each NBA
team are there. Then, the teams invite them to work out for them.
The team pays their way.
CJ crisscrossed the country, working out for
probably 2/3 of the NBA teams!
(He even wore his Combine shirt to one of our family parties)
