REFLECTIONS ON THE PASSING OF PRESIDENT THOMAS S. MONSON

Tomorrow, January 12, is
LDS Church President
Thomas S. Monson's funeral.
He passed away at the age of 90.

All over social media, people
have reflected about President Monson.
Favorite quotes, conferences, interactions, etc.
There's also been a sign honoring him on
many electronic signs that says,

Thomas S. Monson
1927-2018
90 Years of Heartfelt Service

Me?  I love when he came to a Jazz game,
which was about 80% of the time!
The Utah Jazz have no home games on Sundays
during the regular season.
We get a lot on Mondays!
Always fun to say,
"Family Home Evening With the Prophet!"

Our seats are straight across the arena
from the suite he sat in.
One year for my birthday, my family
gave me his autobiography and a pair
of super nice binoculars.
(I trained them more than once on his suite.)

Binoculars side note:
At BYU football games, I looked at the
"Y" on the mountain.
HOLY COW!!!
There's at least a dozen
people sitting up there looking down at the stadium!
Who knew???

 This video is hysterical,
grabbing Jerry Sloan's shoulder!

After the on court incidents, they
decided to put President Monson in a suite.
Not just any suite, but childhood friend,
Jon Huntsman Sr.'s suite!
He is the wealthiest man in the state of Utah!
A cancer survivor, he created the
Huntsman Cancer Center.
His private planes fly the first presidency,
oh . . . and he's also the father of the former governor
of Utah, presidential candidate, ambassador to Singapore,
China, and currently Russia, Jon M. Huntsman, Jr.

The lady in red in front of him is my former
teammate, Mary Englund!
