ANOTHER WARD/BRANCH CONFERENCE SEASON IN THE BOOKS

Sunday, May 17, we finished our
ward/branch conferences.
We attended a conference every week,
with the exception of 5 Fast Sundays,
1 General Conference,
and Mother's Day.
Last year we finished at the end of March,
because if we did a 9:00 a.m. conference,
we would do a 1:00 p.m. conference.
It was tough, but nice to be finished in 12 weeks.

Our stake has 13 units.
Ten wards, 1 assisted living center,
1 rehab center, and 1 Spanish branch.
After each conference, we met with the Relief Society Presidency
to talk about their strengths, concerns, goals, and what we could do to help.

President Kane spoke at each Sacrament Meeting,
along with the bishop.
We sang all 6 verses to "Come Follow Me,"
because it went with President's Kane talk.
Sunday Schools were normal.
Relief Society and Priesthood were combined.
President Kane talked about relationships.
(Last year, the Stake Relief Society Presidency
gave the lesson.)

I also love that for 13 conferences, 2 stake conferences,
and 2 General Conferences, we are able to sustain the
First Presidency, Quorum of 12 apostles, etc.,
the Stake Presidency, and ward leaders.
That's 17 times to sustain!!!

Our last conference was the 18th ward.
The bishop of this ward is the Stake RS President's son.
He arranged with President Kane for our presidency
to be in the Nursery so the leaders could go hear President Kane.
(We had heard the lesson 12 times.)

So, into the nursery we went!
We went during Sunday School so the kids could see us.
Pam's granddaughter was there.
Lots of crying and screaming.
The last hour is "toy time."
Crying and screaming continued until
I pulled out the iPad!
Don't know if it was legal, but the crying/screaming
kids came over.  We made the Cookie Doodle,
Cake Doodle, and dressed the princesses.
Suddenly, it was all quiet!

 Cluttered Chaos

My favorite part was this table and miniature pews.
We were in the oldest LDS church in American Fork.
1st, 5th, 18th ward on south 300 East.

And yes, I Spy Woody!.
