When I was growing up, there were 4 temples in Utah.
St. George, Manti, Logan, and Salt Lake.
In 7th grade, the Ogden and Provo Temples were added.
I was shocked when they announced a 2nd temple
in one county, Salt Lake!
Then, 2 in one city...South Jordan.
Even more exciting was a temple in American Fork!!!
So, north to south, the Utah temples are:
Logan, Brigham City, Ogden, Bountiful, Salt Lake, Jordan River,
Oquirrh Mountain, Draper, Mount Timpanogos, Provo, Vernal,
Manti, Monticello, and St. George.
The burned Provo Tabernacle is being renovated
into a temple...Provo City Center Temple.
Ground will be broken in Cedar City this summer.
Opening up in June is the Payson Temple.
When all temples are completed, that will make 17 temples in Utah!
