ADULTING = VOTING

HERE ARE SOME OF MY FORMER STUDENTS
AND THEIR OPINIONS AFTER THEY VOTED.
I GOT THESE OFF OF FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM.

MY VOTING AGE STUDENTS ARE NOW
18-47
YIKES!

NOW THAT THEY ARE ADULTS,
ADULTING = VOTING.

I KNOW THAT HUNDREDS MORE VOTED
THAN WHAT I FOUND ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

BRIAN RESCHKE
Voted, and I feel surprisingly at peace (I highly recommend it!). Perhaps it's the pending day of turkey-triggered thankfulness, but I am full of gratitude for the many 'builders' in my life. They may be voting for different people today, but are united in the work of improving our country and communities. In all, I'm hopeful for the future.
My earliest political activities included delivering pamphlets encouraging neighbors to elect my grandma, Marilyn Wallace Kofford, to the school board. From her time in public office and her continued advocacy for children since, I have been impressed with her ability to unite people of varying political views around the common cause of improving education. She has shown me there are many ways other than voting to be civically engaged, including the less visible yet profound work of caring for family. I want to be like her when I grow up.
I believe that building our country and communities isn't dependent on whether our preferred candidates are in office. Regardless of the outcome of today's elections, let's choose be builders. #GreatTogether
